Eric fait suite ici à son album de 1996 True to myself, et avec quelques amis comme Wyclef, Brian Morgan, Vikter Duplaix (Erykah Badu Lauryn Hill) etc a composé les titres de cet album. Vous y trouverez sa remarquable reprise de Georgy Porgy (de David Paich et Toto) qu'il chante en compagnie de Faith Evans, mais aussi des chansons qui sentent bon l'amour comme Spend my life with you (duo avec Tamia), That's just my way. Mais comme cet album n'est pas que romances fruitées, vous y écouterez aussi du R&B plus rythmé et au son actuel ou Eric est bon: Something real, Lamentation (avec sa sympatique guitare sèche), Why you follow me ou bien Ghetto girl.
